UK Casino Sister Sites

How We Verify

Every sister-site relationship here is traced to a Gambling Commission licence account.

Every licence number on this site comes from the Gambling Commission's own published register. Nothing here is inferred from a casino's marketing, and nothing is copied from another comparison site.

The process

The Commission publishes three files: the licence accounts, the trading names registered against each account, and the domains. We match a brand to an account on an exact name — a registered trading name, or the domain the brand trades on — and the brands sharing that account are its sister sites. Where a name maps to more than one company, or to a licensee rather than a consumer brand, the page is not built at all; those cases are held back for a person to resolve rather than guessed at.

You can check any page against the public register yourself — every page prints the account number so you can look it up in one search.

What we will not publish

  • Operators without a current Gambling Commission licence, including anything marketed as “not on GAMSTOP”. They are unlicensed for UK customers and we do not link to them.
  • Sister-site claims we cannot trace to a licence account.
  • Review scores or star ratings. We publish records, not opinions dressed as data.

What the register actually tells you, field by field

Three things on a domain record matter, and most pages answering “sister sites” cite none of them:

  • Active — the licensee is trading that domain itself.
  • White label — the licence belongs to one company and the site is run by another underneath it. The brands can have different owners, different staff and different support, and still share one set of licence conditions and one self-exclusion. 376 of the 1,440 live domain records on the register carry this status, across 33 accounts.
  • Inactive — a name or domain still on the account but not trading. 801 of the records are in this state, which is why a raw scrape of the register produces a list of sites that no longer exist. Nothing marked inactive is published here as a live brand.

Where a page does not get built

Refusals matter more than inclusions, because the temptation on this subject is to guess:

  • A name on more than one account. 7 trading names in the current pass sit on two different licensees. The register genuinely cannot say which company runs the site in front of you, so no page is built and the case is recorded rather than resolved by picking the likelier one.
  • A licensee that is not a consumer brand. Many accounts are held by companies with no public site at all. They appear in the operator index as licensees; they do not get a brand page.
  • A claim we cannot trace to an account. If another site says two brands are sisters and the register does not show it, it is not published here.

How often

Licence accounts change — companies are acquired, trading names are added and surrendered. We recheck the full index monthly, and every page carries the month it was last reviewed. The register files themselves are re-downloaded each pass rather than cached, so a surrendered licence drops out instead of lingering.

Commercial relationships

Some outbound links to operators are commercial. They have no effect on which brands are listed, what order they appear in, or what the pages say. Licence facts are not for sale.

Questions

How current is the data?

The full index is rechecked monthly. The last full review was September 2026, shown on every page.

Do you accept payment for listings?

No. Some outbound links are commercial, but no operator can buy a listing, a position, or a change to what a page says.
